Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Has anybody on here an idea how to make glow in the dark goo?

the particles I tried so far are too heavy an stay at the bottom plus they cloud up the liquid but I'd love to make an all glow in the dark lamp...the base is done (pics are uploaded if you wanne see), now the hard part...but I'm out of ideas on this one...thanks for any help

what about UV ?

Gookits sells u/v reactive dye, but shipping to Germany would be exorbitant.

However, would this be a possibility?

(first four colors on the drop down list?)

I bought some of this candle wax dye recently but i have yet to try it out.

eBay item number:

oh that looks nice. please let me know if it works :) thanks!

I use magamas florescent blue and it does respond to black-light but i like it best with McCormick neon blue water dye,

'You can see the result int he glass head i just posted

but the one you posted isnt glow in the dark is it? I mean when you turn the lamp of, does it have the typical phosphorescent afterglow for some minutes?

no it does nnot

it fluorescent and reacts to blacklight

Whats in glow sticks? Would something like that work?
strontium aluminate is to heavy, is that what you tried? Could you nake the wax super dense so they would go into solution?

You can get it here: http://www.gookits.com/

I'm not quite sure as it didnt say anything at the lable bit there are at least two different kinds of this stuff and the strontium stays bright for hours so I guess thats not what I used. making wax more dense is nothing I will try as I already tempered around with a lot of chemicals in order to make my own goo and everything failes on long term so I guess the formula only has a very small window itll work with. thanks for the reply though.

you might be out of luck on that finding glow in the dark stuff unless you can find in liquid form, that's waterproof and able to adhere to the wax. You best bet honestly is UV dye. You can use a external black light bulb and that will charge up your glow in the dark base and cap in the process as well make your wax glow.
