Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

*edit

Any lamp is fair game now, not just the beatles and harley lamps. This thread has grown far beyond my expectations! 0.0

I really dont understand why these are always listed for ridiculous amounts. I see them all the time for $100 buy it now. I have a harley lamp and I want to sell it because I dont like it. Someone locally tried to sell me a beatles lamp for $100. Are these people nuts? Why do they all seem to list them for stupidly high prices?

Anyways I thought it would be fun to see who can find the most over priced harley davidson or beatles submarine lamp.

I am setting the bar really high.

I file this under weird/unique. An interesting spin on lavaesque lamping!

Well, that is something completely different

The  Purple Splotch lamp is 1 of 18 different ceramic Icon lamps that were made in the USA during the 90's.

I paid about $200.00 for mine several years ago.

Officially part of the 2nd Ceramic Series. There are numerous collector photos of them in the photo gallery. I lucked out and found mine at a flea market for $30.00 over the summer. You don't see them on ebay too often. There was a red version of the splotch, which also has popped up a few times recently on the 'bay.

Here is another person that listed their lamp after someone else did for $45.00 with no bids
Of course, their price is out of this world!
What logic?

Got an old chrome pitted Fantasia Sunburst base/globe that is missing it's glass fiber optic spray?

No problem, put some fiber optic flowers in it and sell it for $275!

Iconic Mid-Century Fantasia rotating multi-color fiber optic table lamp.  These model 4000 units with their chrome base and large sphere are considered the holy grail of the fiber optic world and becoming very difficult to find.

The lamp's motorized color wheel and counter clockwise fiber option display both operate perfectly as does the high output cooling fan.
The fiber display isn't original to the lamp. Ideally you would want a larger center based display. We used this smaller version which looks great by the way until a replacement is found. They are known to pop up at thrift stores and flea markets fairly regularly for under 10 bucks. We more than compensated the price to allow for this.

 LOL

Oh wow... that's... terrible. And kinda funny, too. I hope someone doesn't buy that!

Oh dear, I hope no one bites on that either, but I too had to laugh......Erin.  ;-))

Wow...

would you guys please pick up a few spare sprays for "ten bucks" and bung them over here to us in England?

thanks!

ROFLMAO

woke up the wife laughing
