Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I recently acquired and Orange liquid/Clear Wax 32 oz lamp off of ebay. It was manufactured in 94. The lamp is clear and gorgeous but to my dismay it heats up moves a little and then becomes a goose egg. I had read on other sites before joining this community that spinning the globe on a flat surface helps. Well I've done that a few times and it didn't work. I did this on another lamp and it did help but on this one, well, it's no dice. Any suggestions.

How can I verify that. I mean it seems to be.
That makes a lot of sense. Thanks sooo much for your help man. I appreciate it. I've never heard of that trick. When I have time and a bottle capper I'm gonna try that. Thanks.
I tried this and well it doesn't work. Did I do something wrong?
Well I used a 40w clear to "cook the wax" for half an hour. Then let it cool and poured the liquid back in using a funnel, and did it slowly. I then recapped the globe with a pair of pliers. On a 40watt clear it moves once in a while in a column but never breaks off and on a frosted it goose eggs. The base is your standard black base. For all intensive purposes, if the globe isn't airtight would that affect it? I mean it was pretty solid the way I did it.
Its a 32oz dated 94
