Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Gutted....just missed one of these on my local gumtree.

Normally I check regularly but have been on holiday, so was 2 days late.

It was simply described as a lava lamp, and was listed for £50.

Apparently it's gone to a collector in Germany....perhaps someone here?

Here it is/was:

Very unlucky
..

Wow, nice lamp, shit happens though, just keep your eye out for the next steal!

I feel your pain...:(

Yep, you win some you lose some.

These bargains always raise an ethical dilemma for me anyway in terms of whether to 'steal' or not, although £50 isn't as low as some lamps I've seen go for like the Lunar that was listed for £25 last year (and no I didn't get that one either!).

I'm sure it's gone to a good home though (he says though gritted teeth!), and all credit to the collector in Germany who managed to spot it on the UK free ads, and reach an agreement to ship abroad!

I wonder what the actual value of one is now, as haven't seen another for sale since I've been collecting?

one went on ebay recently for just over £1000.00 pounds, ive never looked at gumtree but would of pissed me pants if i had seen it :-)

£1000! Ouch....I'm kind of wishing I hadn't asked now lol

Yep, the fun goes out when the £ comes in....

There's one happy chappie across the Channel though...

Wow. Nice score for somebody.

I notice what looks like a plastic (or metal?) grille in the top of the lamp's body. That's something I personally haven't seen before.

Also, most wall mounts are glitter. I might be wrong, but to the best of my memory, this is the first one I've seen in lava.

the top and bottom are for the lights to shine out so  with the 2 push buttons on the back bit near bottom you can have either the lava/glitter bottle on or just have the uplighter / down light ( plastic clear bits ) or go crazy and have both on

Not splitting hairs but it was £1001 pounds. I lost it for £2... gutted pt 1
