Thanks Johnny, I’m running a Slyvania R40 150Watt Flood 125-130V. Purchased on eBay and paid a bit too much for it, but they are sometimes tough to get- no longer made or sold in stores. The start up time is 6 hours. The ant Kit shoots spikes and sometimes lifts all the unmelted wax at once many times before finally being all melted. I did the math and at 3 cups wax / quart of water (roughly 20% ratio) according to MT, it should take 3 quarts of wax. For my refill, I used two quarts. Now I am thinking about adding more wax but honestly I just have to be happy with it at this point =D

looks lovely, what bulb wattage does it run on, and start up time as in blobbing :-)

Thanks MileHigh, that’s a nice looking ad I haven’t seen before! Friends already asking me how much I would sell it for and I said it’s nfs but maybe $2,000 I would take for it haha. This one I believe was originally orange lava. I wanted to do blue or teal, but was afraid it would be too dark. I’m happy with the Aquamarine MT dye.

I am envious of your great looking Imperial ;)

Nice to see that you kept the lava color original.

Crazy how an Imperial lamp only cost $149.50 many years ago!

They are MUCH more valuable now and you are very fortunate to own one :)
