How rare would you say they are?

Nice lamp but not that hard to find.

A great example of a RARE lamp is your Imperial ;)

Fantasia Sunburst 4000.  Yours rates a good 6.  Good looking base however your fiber optic spray is not as full as some serious collectors would prefer -  the spray is still worth $100-150  alone even though your spray is around 75%. If the sprays fiber optics were fuller and standing up more it would be worth more.  Notice your spray is 50% drooping and is no longer giving the sunburst affect these lamps are known for and almost bald at the top of the fiber spray.  Base alone can fetch as much as 100.00 -125.00 if working as should. Notice the one listed on ebay has over 90% spray and the fibers are erect as they should be and pretty clean as in not browned from grime and age.  I prefer the Fantasia 4000 because unlike the Sunburst which has this burst look the Fantasia 4000 has a fuller more complete spray.  I doubt very much the seller will get near 700 but the lamp on Ebay should fetch a higher than normal price due to condition and spray as in  $400 plus shipping fees of no more than 50.00 is a fair price. As someone stated earlier these lamps are not that rare as some might think however they are getting more collectible by the day if the spray and base are in pretty decent shape.  A new spray came up recently on ebay and sold for over 200 plus shipping - again the spray was NEW. I think it sold for 265.00.  I hope this info helps.  Whatever yo do - do not attempt to clean the fibers in any way and handle the spray minimally due to fragile nature of the fibbers they can break very easily.  Most sprays were damaged because people tend to pet yes pet these lamps like a dog thus breaking the fibers.  It's irresistible.  Most likely the reason your fiber spray is flattened and missing fibers at the top.  Very common to see them in this condition.

TLC - am I right in thinking you're differentiating between a Fantasia 4000 and a Fantasia Sunburst? I thought they were the same, unless you meant the chrome early version v the later black version?
