Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I picked this up also on a whim off craigslist for $20.  It took forever for seller to respond.  The flow is interesting, it reminds me of the green midnight I picked up at Salvation Army recently.  I am not a fan of this kind of flow, kinda stringy, kind of grosses me out actually.  I want to get another glitter bottle.  Is this a coveted lamp?  Which older lamps have this kinda of weird flow?  I would like to avoid in the future.

Uh, that is not "flow", but rather, spiking as the lava is heating up and traveling through the cold master fluid and re-solidifying.

Once the master fluid and globe has warmed and the lava stays in a liquid state, rather than a semi solid state, then you can say you have flow.  Hope this helps and you get over your aversions to this part of the cycling of the lamp.  They can be quite interesting truth be know.  All kinds of spiking can happen, due to room temp, location of lamp etc.  Enjoy!

you got a steal on the red anodized heritage Wizard.
they sell for $150+ and are rare

Hi!  You are right, the wizard is starting to flow nicely.  The green midnight, however, the wax looks about dead.  Some

of it flows up and down, but a good amount just stays put at the top.  The color is also very unattractive, faded weirdly.  I may sell it or return to Salvation Army.

Wow!  I guess that was worth dealing a few weeks with a wishy washy seller!

I have an abundance of vintage red form various lamps if you need some

Also, cranberry is one of the more rare globe colors and hard to come by sometimes.

Thanks Claude!

Keith, did not know that about cranberry.  I am actually really liking the lamp now.  My toddler has claimed as his own.  LOL.
