1993 aristocrat new coil

I wanted to try everything with the lava lite 90s wax before replacing it. After cleaning the original coil didn't work, I replaced it, and it still didn't work. After many attempts, I got it flowing by putting in a coil with a diameter slightly larger than the bottom of the globe. This is about the 15th run with the new coil, and it looks great, the wax is bubble free. I have it dimmed in the video.

Thanks! I am looking for more lamps to fix now. I was so nervous about opening it, but it ended up being really fun to work on.

I have seen some china lava lites make the small liquid filled bubbles this used to. I wonder if an oversized coil would fix those too. Thanks to everyone here for helping me get my aristocrat running!
