Profile Information

About Me:
It all started with a Mathmos Jet and an Opal Fludium. I love lava lamps they kind of offer a distraction into the world of water and wax. I started becoming fascinated with the history of the lamps and although i don't have the biggest collection - i love to learn about them, I have a curious mind and flowoflava is a product of that.
In 2007, i teamed up with John to make www.flowoflava.com, a complete history of all the lava/glitter products produced by Crestworth Ltd, Crestworth Trading and Mathmos from 1963 to the Present Day.

Later on with the help of Craig and Jonas, i formed hippielight.com, a simple site that is a timeline and slideshow gallery of all the vintage American lava lites that i admire and other exciting products from that time. I hope you visit these two sites and let me know what you think of them.

Hey Astrobaby, thanks for adding me to the ol' friends list. I have two friends now from Merry Old England. If you ever travel to the U.S. throw a few Mathmos products in your luggage for me, I'm sure security will understand....acturally that's probably a real bad idea. I've heard that if the contents of a Fludium and Jet are mixed together in an airline restroom they form a potent explosive :-))

hi astrobaby, thanks for your comments yes i have a love for jukeboxes and the rock n roll era and have made it my living although these hard times are having an effect on everyone out there, the lava lamps are another nostalgic era thats stood the test of time a simple lamp that keeps on growing in interest world-wide, i dont have many lamps although i think i may have more than i realise put away but its all good stuff, cheers to all on Oozing goo :o)
