The blue one needs a dimmer or a smaller bulb. Its using a 40W R14 reflector lamp and it can only run for three hours until it starts to overheat. The yellow has some slight sticking issues, but that's because I made a diluted surfactant coating that wasn't strong enough. I think I can get inline dimmers at places like Home Depot or Canadian Tire, but if that is not the case, I am going to try the 25W version of the same reflector bulb and see how it looks.
I got pair of knock off lava…tag:oozinggoo.ning.com,2019-02-09:1566398:Comment:6876082019-02-09T04:03:02.973ZBaBa-Gooeyhttps://oozinggoo.ning.com/profile/JoeKleon

This is my 4th time making my own goo from scratch. I am getting the hang of it. This is the first time this lamp has flowed and it is just warming up. I mixed the wax and water last night and left it to cool. I like the turquoise color of the goo, I think it just needs a little more. I love the artminds brand of wax dye at Michaels. The wax eats it up and a bottle with enough dye for about 8 14" globes is $5. The Palmolive "Pure And Clear" works great as a surf, no extra dyes, scents…

I found using Dawn clouds the water just a bit. I got the propylene glycol on Amazon for $13. I am loving making my own lamps from scratch. I am picking up some more cloudy lamps to rehab from Craigslist later today.
