My Gookit Grande Adventure Funtime

About to start my first gookit.
I have read in several places here that the dye can be added to the goo AFTER its in the water & flowing.
But I can't find any instructions HOW to do this.
Can somebody please help me?

Just use the spoon provided in the kit.
Take like a match head size of dye and drop it in the running bottle (it's a little sticky on the spoon, so I use a toothpick to help).
Then wait until it mixes with the wax.
do it again until you obtain the color you want.
(sometimes a match head will be enough for a full lamp depending your choice, so don't put more in one time)

So the dye definitely won't mix with the water?

The dye provided in the kit won't mix with water, just with wax yes.

If you want to dye the water later, use food coloring.

Just cleaned the globe. About to melt down the gookit wax.

don't forget to rinse the globe with a litte surf and distiled water just before pouring the wax.

"Rinse with a little surf and distilled water"... at the same time?  Or surf first, then water?  More detail needed!  I'm hoping to goo a grande soon and I'm sure to have the same questions.

you won't be able to rinse a globe with just a little surf ;-)

water+surf, shake everywhere in the bottle, then pour out and you're ready to fill the wax.

Just poured the wax down the funnel & straw into the surf & water rinsed globe. Letting it cool now.

It seems VERY bubbly. Hope that's normal.

Wax has about 30 mins left to cool.........looking good.

I'm just going to leave the goo white until I get my red dye in the mail.

On the right, you can see the bottle of 'china yellow' I boiled out of the globe.
