Any lamp is fair game now, not just the beatles and harley lamps. This thread has grown far beyond my expectations! 0.0
I really dont understand why these are always listed for ridiculous amounts. I see them all the time for $100 buy it now. I have a harley lamp and I want to sell it because I dont like it. Someone locally tried to sell me a beatles lamp for $100. Are these people nuts? Why do they all seem to list them for stupidly high prices?
Anyways I thought it would be fun to see who can find the most over priced harley davidson or beatles submarine lamp.
I am setting the bar really high.

I agree with James, I've paid quite the sum for a few of mine in boxes too.
Although this collection does not have the boxes, having them all in one shipment leads to other savings.
The posted $75 for shipping is on the low end of what an actual shipping cost would be once boxed and packed with proper material.

That's really not that unrealistic of a price for Icons in good condition with boxes.
I should know, as I paid an average of $150 - $200 per Icon OR $1,050 - $1,400 for 7 icons.
Prices have definitely fallen on Icons in the last two years,as I have seen them sell for under $80.00.
However it would still take a while to find all 7 of the icons that are being offered all at once.
If I had seen this auction 2 years ago, I would have been all over it. :)
I still have a few to get to complete all the Icons (except Cartman unless the stars align). I hope they really appreciate in value once I am done collecting the last remaining few. :-)
If someone needs all seven of those Icons and assuming all lamps are in mint condition, $1000 is close to being a bargain. That comes out to about $143/lamp. Some may have more appeal than others (i.e. Toady), so consider a potentially higher value for the Toad and a few others. Convenience of one-stop shopping alone is worth some $$$. If only they came with original boxes...
White knuckle shipping at its best though. I sure do hope this guy knows how to pack as that's some serious ceramic and glass being sent in one box.
I was pleasantly pleased to get my NIB Spook for under $200. Stunned would be a better word. The market data is limited as I have only seen 2 on eBay - one BIN at $275 (which sold) and Chow won one over $200 (cough, cough.. thanks to my bidding pressure, lol). Spook was mine, all mine in the latest auction though as I did bid to where I saw the market ($225 +), but the market didn't respond on this auction and let me have it at half that.
The buyer did get a BIN offer of $60 - LOL. I told him he was smart to decline the offer.

Guess things have getting more expensive now...remember they were cheaper when I picked up mine.

this guy has been trying to sell these forever! in fact 3 of those listed were mine at one time lol
If he is trying to get rid of them then start the bidding a lot lower (99p bid sounds intresting lol) to get max intrest and then see how much they go for.
Also trying to sell / add lamps to a auction which arnt yours is not cool - its one sure way of messing everyone around
