Spencers now has their new batch of neon lamps. The first one I bought I returned before I even left the mall because it was cloudy, but the second one was only very slightly cloudy. The lamp does clear up when running fortunately and the flow is also very active. It may not be like the 90's lamps with lots of stretchy blobs, but I feel that with the amount of activity in these lamps it is forgivable. I plan on picking up a neon yellow and a blue/red tonight. I will post photos of them in the next few days.
Base and cap: 7/10
Glass 10/10
Clarity: 9/10
Flow: 8/10
Color: 10/10
Base and cap: I don't care for this style of base, so my rating is because of personal preferences.
Glass: Very few bubbles, no noticeable flaws.
Clarity: Very close to being crystal clear. I am actually not bothered by the slight cloudiness, but it is a flaw.
Flow: It is not American flow, but it is enjoyable to watch.
Color: I love the neon series colors.

Anyone want a blue/white Neon???
I guess I'm hitting Spencers soon for that watermelon...I hate incomplete sets of colors
that would be awesome. i'm on a lamp buying hiatus right now though since we are closing on our new home friday.

I have a neon green (photo on my page of the columns as well) and it's nice, but it was very sluggish, then pretty much still without a 60w bulb. It runs just a tad hot on 60w so I have it on a dimmer. It's a nice lamp and it was $25. Great flow for a China globe. FYI it's on a silver base because I liked the black base with my blue/white better.
My green Neon does seem to be the least exciting of the three I have. It's slow and has giant blobs. The yellow is more snake-y and almost flows like a US-made Lava Lite. The purple is kinda in-between.
We'll see how the pink flows. I plan on putting up a video of them all flowing once the pink is broken in.
Well, mine does. Your mileage may vary. It's the best flowing out of the three. Took running it a few weeks to fully break in though.
That is EXACTLY the case with my yellow neon. The flow is like that of a lamp from the 90's. It's very stretchy and interesting to watch. The green neon flows more like a typical China lamp.

I just wanted to say that I thought it was funny, Autumn, that you returned the cloudy neon before you even left the mall, because it made me feel so much better that I am not the only one that opens them up in the mall. I just bought a rainbow 32oz from Spencers and as soon as I got to the food court in the mall, I set the box down on a table, opened it up, pulled the contents out of the box, and made sure the globe was crystal clear. It was, so I put everything back in and left. I wondered what people were thinking, but I was in such a mood to have a good lamp that I did not even care. I think my girlfriend was a little embarrassed, haha but she is pretty used to it after 3 years. I'm just glad I'm not the only one that would do that. :)
Anyways, I also wanted to say that I love the neons, I bought the purple awhile ago and so far it is pretty awesome, and so I will be collecting the green and yellow ones as well in the next few weeks. And maybe even pink, if my Spencers ever gets them... I was planning on getting the green next, because I overall do not really care for the color yellow, but after reading these posts I am reconsidering.
