I have a quick question because I know nothing about Crestowrth lamps and need to build some knowledge. How rare are the Telstar and Nordic Living Jewels and are the Glitterlite bottles more common? Thanks!

This is an "export" model, as it got a "Euro plug" (it's genuine, not modified later by someone).

Do you have picture of other Telstar Living Jewel?

yep the telstar bases like yours used the jet caps as well, the silver ones had a black trim on the edge of the base , they would be the later telstars / living jewels around the time they launched the nordic de-luxe ( aka jet shaped lamp )

Astralav said:

the Living jewels normaly turn up with the larger jet size tops ( yours has the nordic style top ) if you use a jet type there wont be such a large gap showing. if you plan to top the fluid up then idealy use living jewel fluid. the fluid level when youve got a jet top placed on the bottle will be just above the rim of the top,

Yes, all the flakes are on the top when off.

When I saw the pictures on the add, I thought the lamp was out of order and I planned to change it for a lava type, but I was very pleased to see it works perfectly. The only thing that annoy me is the 1cm missing fluid (I guess it is not perfectly sealed even if there was no drop when I turned it upside down before start it).

The fast flowing, larger flakes Crestworth bottles were solvent based - one giveaway is that the flakes of glitter rise to the top when the lamp is switched off and cold. I would advise against opening one of these, but if you do, do it outdoors, not in a confined space. One solvent used was Trichlorotriflouroethane (I think, could have been Trichlorotriflouroethylene). I would advise against opening one of these, but if you do, do it outdoors, not in a confined space. One solvent used was Trichlorotriflouroethane (I think, could have been Trichlorotriflouroethylene). Even if you do open it, it is unlikely that you will find a suitable solvent to top it up with now as most fully halogenated hydrocarbons have been banned under the Montreal Protocol. Distilled water will just sit on top, it is not miscible with the solvent, and is much lighter than the solvent. It is best left as it is, since the solvent is volatile, if you open it and don't reseal it fully, you will lose more solvent through evaporation.
