The oldest "OPTIC LAMP MOD. ASTRO" RGB LED Mood Light Or Rainbow lighting conversion.-1

On March 15, I bought new old stock "Vintage Fiber Optic Lamp 70s. OPTIC LAMP MOD. ASTRO".

I found the same again 2 days later. But it was not in very good shape. The seller said it was working. But I did not have the opportunity to try. I bought it for about two dollars. I thought I would make spare parts to the other.

But it's terrible.

From the heat of the bulb, the acrylic disc is roasted and the lenses on it are foamed.

It works, but in very bad condition. I removed it. It has a different system than the first one I bought.

What are the differences?

First buy.

Other

Colour wheel glass discs.

Colour wheel acrylic discs.

Lamp 12 volts 15 watts.

Lamp 220 volts 25 watts.

Electric motor 12 volts

It works silently.

It works noisy.

The bottom plate is heavy.

The bottom plate is light.

Glass spray is long, unbroken and clean.

Glass spray is short, broken and grayed.

What will be done?

  • Colour wheel acrylic disc is remove. Color change can be done with "PIC". (PIC = Peripheral Interface Controller)
  • 220 volts 25 watts lamp is removed. Lighting will be done with “POWER SMD RGB LED”. (SMD = Surface Mount Device), (RGB = Red, Green, Blue), (LED = Light Emitting Diode)
  • Electric motor 220 volts is remove. Color change (Rotation) can be done with "PIC".
  • Gear not need. Color change (Rotation) can be done with "PIC".
  • The bottom plate will making heavier by pouring cement if necessary.
  • Glass spray will be washed with detergent.

    Thank you very much for your help. We do not use eBay as Turkey. Because paypal is banned. We are having bad days. We have a stupid, ignorant and shitty government on our heads. So what I can do is limited now.

    Other options

    1) Stick with color wheel an replace the bulb with a super bright COB LED

    2) (I did this on a Crestworth Fiber optic lamp) is to eliminate the color wheel altogether and purchase a Color changing LED and socket that has a remote control to slowly change color by fading from one color to another. The trick here is to find one with a memory so every time you turn on the lamp you do not have to reset it to fade

    Turkey 220 volts. A transformer is required for the motor.

    But first I will use mine for spray. if not, i will write to you.
