Love the Starship Lava Lamps and want to know more about the Mathmos Telstars and all things Lava Lamp. Have a modest collection of kitsch and mid-century furniture and accents, as well as collect toy robots of 50's-80's vintage.
My First Lava Lamp was:
It was an original Starship silver . I may have had another one, an Aristocrat in the early 80's, if memory serves.
Strange, but I am not knocking it. Went away, briefly, this weekend, had been running my new Coach Lamp heavy -duty, and strange thing is, it has started to clear up,quite noticeably, and the flow has became much better! So, I might stick with the globe. Add to that good news, I just secured another Silver Starship with green liquid/blue lava! Pictures when I can!
My good thoughts and positive energy to all the great people on this forum! Giddy as all get-out!
Ok, I got a Barbarella theme in my bedroom, so, that is a lot of the Starship thing! Also, I collect tin and plastic robots and mid-century kitsch. Over my Mac, I have a very-large canvass stretched with a fabric called "Spacerella" it has Barbarella-looking ladies with Jetson's -style houses in the background.
Ok, I'm a BAD GEEK!
Ummm...creepy old house...my favorite!! I have a Haunted House business, where I set up the haunts for Halloween. I also just purchases a ride called the "Last Ride" which is a coffin that you lay in that simulates being burried. It's really cool!!! If you like hearses, check out my site: 6-ft-under.com I think it's pretty awesome, but I am biased! --Bert

This is the place to be for all fans of the lava lamp (not forgetting glitters too and even fibre optic lamps)
Best wishes
