Hey Ralph, Yeah it dosen't take much too make me happy. The Moody's are one of my favorites to listen to when my lamps are on. I guess getting older puts life in perspective. Good music and good goo! Nice lamps!!

Glad you like the snake-skin lamp! It is one of my favorites too! I am so digging your "Bong" lamp! I gotta find someplace that sells the vodka so I can make my own!

    Hi Ralph!
I am still searching the goo site for the cap code information. I asked the exact same question one time and I recieved some very detailed answers. I don't remember all of it. But I do know that the large numbers on the left are the wax color code and the top number is the date of manufacture. (YY/MM/DD) So the first two numbers of the top are the year the lamp was released.
I have yet to make my own lava. But I SOOOOO want to learn! Actually I'd like to learn to make the glitter solution first. I'm on a huge glitter kick right now!
I do love your bong lamp. I have looked everywhere for a bong bottle so I could make my own, but the bottles (even empty--what's the point of selling an empty liquor bottle?) aren't cheap. I would be quite interested in a trade. What do I have that you like? I also would be glad to make you a custom lamp or two. I have a new series now....BRAND NEW....BLACK LIGHT REACTIVE LAMPS!!!! So new and hot! And only from yours-truely!
Lemme know if we can work something out.
    Great chattin' with you!

    Hey Ralph!
Oh no....the "vixen gypsy" is not I....I'm just a creepy lil girl that drives a hearse (or four) and owns 6-ft-under.com and dyin2ride. Lava lamps are just my hobby...not my business (darn it!)
The custom lamps that I make are usually a customer request. I make lamps for sports teams (black lava yellow liquid, black base with a Pitsburg Steelers decal--for example.) Or if someone says "My favorite colors are blue and red--Can you make me a lamp like that?" I also refill and repair vintages. In addition, I like to make odd bottles into lamps. So, this certainly is a hobby, as I would go broke trying to make a go of it! I will be listing some very nice lamps on e-bay later today. Please let me know if you are interested in anything like these for a swap!
    Good chatting with you!
