I enjoy a wide range of hobbies & interests, from watching old science fiction, action, & adventure movies like Journey to the Centre of the Earth, Forbidden Planet, Star Trek and Jason & the Argonauts etc - to reading J. R. Tolkiens Lords of the Rings, Stephen Hawkings A Brief History of Time and Charles Darwins The Origin of Species - to Gardening and Cultivation of Phalaenopsis Orchids, Nepenthis and other Carnivorous Plants - to Watching Classic TV Sitcoms & TV Series including Faulty Towers, Life on Mars, The X-Files, 24, Prison Break, Wire in the Blood etc. I own two loopy but adorable mutts and used to breed malawi cichlids (tropical Fish)......and of course collecting Lava Lamps ! I work as a Data Analyst and IT Manager within the Mobile Telecoms Industry.

My First Lava Lamp was:
I bought my first lava lamp in 2000. It was a Mathmos Telstar Millenium 2000 which I remember paying £19.95 for. In 2004 I sold it on eBay little realising that this lamp was a limited and most sought after edition......it sold for £110.00 ! Seven years on, i've become interested in lava lamps again in a big way after they appear to be back in fashion. I'm concentrating my collection on Mathmos lamps and have made sure that the first lamp to go in my collection will a Millenium Telstar 2000. I hope to collect a wide range of lamps from old Crestworth to the late 90's and early 2000.
Yes, I visited the factory but the pics you've seen were from the London Showroom when they had their exhibition of old Crestworth stuff as well as some unusual prototypes. They were both very accommodating and welcoming.
