Where I Live:
In a small town, on a short street
My First Lava Lamp was:
Was a hand me down from my grandma. I remember I was seven watching the Partridge Family, and the Lava Lamp, on top of the television at the same time. I was hooked! I was given that very same lave lamp sixteen years later. It probably worked for another ten, then sputterd out. A family heirlom of sorts. Gold finish, and classic red wax. Back then I dont remember them having the colored oil. I started buying them for my boys when they entered Jr. High. I always seemed to take them over. They are just so relaxing, and I enjoy them so much. I just ordered my first "Grande". Should be here in a few short days. The Colossus is next on my list. Everyone thinks Im crazy.................

And there is a splendid Colossus as depicted below by our goo(d) friend Bohdan - master of the lava. Be wary of the colour combo though, some aren't as good as others and the coloured wax may 'bleed' into the masterfluid.
If you are thinking about a colossus you should check out my page. We have lamps bigger than the colossus that take only 2-3 hours to heat up (opposed to 24). They are temperature controlled as well. We even have models that change any color you want with the push of a button. Welcome to oozing goo!
