    Hmmmm...did it take that long the first 2 times? You might check your bulb-I've noticed a change in my lamp before, and it turned out that the bulb had developed a silver-ish darkening on the inside which affected the amount of heat it put out.  It looked kinda like how a bulb looks after it burns out, but it was still working.  I sent the bulb back to the company and they replaced it...
