hi,my name is ian! i love vintage lava lamps iam starting a collection of old lava lites to make my room look cool and because i love lava lites, and they dont make them anymore.i also like the way the wax flows. but one time i went to target to buy a lava lamp, and when i took it out of the box and turned it on,but the liquid got cloudy and i barley could see the wax, so i took it back to target and got a refund. i later learned that lava lamps are made in china now and they use a cheaper process of making the lava ingredients. thats why i like older lava lights because they are made in the usa, in chicago, illinois. sorry about the long story!

My First Lava Lamp was:
i got my first lava lamp in the 7th grade, when i was helping my teacher clean out her classroom because our class was moving to a different classroom. well, when i got done packing the left over stuff, my teacher told me that she wanted to give me something for all the work that i did, so she asked me if i wanted her old lava lamp, so i obviously said yes. i had always wanted her lava lamp so badly because i looked up on the internet that it was a 32oz. lava lite and it was a midnight edition{which was very popular in the 90's},and it had a black base and cap, with orange and white lava. the moment i took it home, i cleaned the globe with windex and the base and cap! i got a small table that we didnt use, and i put it in a corner in my room, put the lava lamp on the table, turnedit on,turned the lights off,and just looked at it.iam now in the 8th grade, and its still on the table i put it on in the 7th grade....
