My First Lava Lamp was:
It is a perfect glass cylinder (no taper). Black case with yellow/orange wax in clear liquid. Worked great at first, now the wax want to collect at the top.

    Wow 60 - 80 inches of lava is pretty amazing. There are some members here who have wanted to create giant lava creations before. I will try and find out some more for you and if there have been topics in the forum about this.

    Hey Chuck, there's a pretty interesting discussion from last month called 'large lamps' worth checking out. Go to the Forum on the top tag and look under 'problems and questions' category and then the posting 'large lamps' for some interesting opinions on building large lava lamps.
