Something Interesting About Me:
I'm Jimmy D! I'm 48 years old and I live in Grand Prairie, Texas. It's not as poh-dunk a town as the name would lead you to believe. We've got indoor plumbing and most of us in town have electricity. Which is good because using a Lava Lamp before needed the use of a kerosene lamp and it made the room smell funny. That funny smell did have an upside as it made it real easy to fall asleep. We have guns!!

My First Lava Lamp was:
My first lava lamp was a genuine Lava Lamp that I received for my birthday in 1979 from my brother. It went perfectly in my bedroom along with my KISS and Rolling Stones posters and the stench of cheap weed and beer burps and the occaisional waft of cheap perfume. What a make out room that was! I joined up the merchant marines in 1980 and like all of my vinyl records, the lamp was "lost" in my absence.

    As I was reading about you, I thought, "yes, electricity is good, but in Grand Prairie you can set your lamp on the patio, and half of the year it will ooze on its own!" lol

    Yes, it gets hot here too. Last summer, it took our dog an hour to chase a cat off of our deck, they had to stop and rest every couple of feet! I used to live in Fresno, CA. One hundred and fifteen degrees is not fun, even if the humidity is low;-)
    We are very blessed and like you said, it will only get better. I know that for quite a while, all I will be able to do is sit and hold our son! The doctor says 3 weeks or less now, maybe I should try and finish the nursery soon? lol
    I will post a blog soon after he is born and let everyone know how the little goo-head is doing!
