Something Interesting About Me:
I'm 20 in S. California. I'm a fan of 20th century antiques of many styles, but mainly mid-century modern with a more campy flair.

Random things I love: Horror movies (including "Mommie Dearest"), 45rpm records (early rock, 60s pop, girl groups, Phil Spector stuff), aluminum christmas trees, sunburst clocks, John Waters movies, fiberglass lamp shades, blondewood furniture, jade plants, etc., etc...

I'm a record collector (78s from the 1920s to vinyl of the 80s) and do restoration work on record players (wind ups through to my more recent 1962 jukebox).

So as you might imagine, lava lamps, with all their mass-produced, space-aged, campy glory, fit my style well. Who can dislike them?

Looks like a fun site here. Write if you wanna.
Where I Live:
Southern California. Doesn't everyone???
My First Lava Lamp was:
My first one had a black base/cap, purple wax and clear liquid. My parents bought it for me probably around 1997-ish. Unfortunately, it has disappeared. I think I broke it, I can't remember. BTW does anyone have one like it from that same era? I'm interested in buying!
