Share 'Wax not sticking to Coil'

My new Mediterranean was in rough shape when I got it. Cloudy, wax separated, and not sticking to coil. The wax is now recombined. The lamp is slightly less cloudy. I can't get this wax to stick to the coil though. I have tried the original, one from a groove tube, and one from a 20 oz. The original was cleaned and soaked in gas for 16 hours.
