Italian glitter lamp with Kirk's strand glitter formula

This lamp has had quite the journey! Autumn purchased this lamp in the summer of 2011 and it was low on fluid. That same year, I received a lamp from France that was missing half of *its* fluid, so I topped off one of my other French glitters and sent the rest of the fluid to her for this lamp (not knowing she'd one day sell it). I bought the lamp from Autumn in 2011 and the fluid was shot. The glitter would stall out after a short time running. I sold the lamp to OGer BlackGermanShepherd Feb of 2012. I don't know that he did anything with it. When Jim helped him sell a lot of lamps in 2014, I bought this lamp back, knowing I could get Kirk to refill it. So, off it went to Kirk in November and it came back to me with this lovely strand glitter!

So, there you have it. :)

As it was in 2011:

And I stupidly tried to remove the paint from the one on the left with paint thinner and nearly wrecked the plastic. That one's from Bohdan and I want to refill it as it's orange China glitter. http://oozinggoo.ning.com/photo/french-or-italian-glitter-lamps?con...

Yes, they are expensive. I have about three lamps in this style - plastic and from either France or Italy. I luckily managed to score all three for under $100 each (I think). Two of the three were bought from sellers in the US and one from a French seller. This is my other one and luckily, it's perfect: http://oozinggoo.ning.com/photo/on-its-way-from-france?context=albu...

Oh, and I really like this Italian lamp.  I wish they weren't so dang expensive.  The ones I've seen for sale are in he $200+ range on Ebay -- when they come up.

We done good, Erin!

I LOVE this strand glitter.  It's not as fast or flashy as the hex glitter, but it has an ethereal quality that makes it very beautiful to me.  I'm so glad you like it.

I recently won a Crestworth Astro on Ebay, and I've dumped the worn out wax and cloudy liquid and replaced it with this long strand glitter in orange fluid.  It is out of this world, drop dead gorgeous with the copper base and cap!  I'll post a video of it soon.

Looks absolutely amazing!  Great choice on the glitter.

Yep, it's not leaving. :) Sometimes after a journey like this, you just have to keep it. Esp when a friend has "fixed" it for you. I have a few of his standard glitter refills, too, and they are gorgeous as well.

Analog - I know you have several refills from him - it's great stuff! :D

VERY pretty lamp Erin! Excellent photo too, this fella has had quite the journey and that is only the travels that we know of!

It's really neat stuff. I've always wanted a strand glitter! Next I'm going to find something that Kirk can refill with that slow silver flake stuff like what's in Florence Art lamps. :)

The picture does not do this stuff justice - it's a little holographic and multi-colored.

It's long and thin and I'd call it fast-ish, yes.
