All good. The lamp was originally a Clear/Red that had "blob syndrome", so I changed the coil and added blue food coloring to the liquid. All has been fine ever since. It was the liquid I colored, not the wax.

I'm sorry I should've been more specific the reason I mentioned food coloring is I am dying the water not the wax..

Color is still fine. Haven't had to add anymore, and I like this lamp, and run it a few times a week. It originally had a light haze, not so much cloud, to the liquid, and running it over the past 6 months, has cleared it up nicely. No fancy food coloring or anything. Just plain old regular coloring. I've never understood how 6 drops of coloring would cloud up the liquid. So far so good for me anyway! I plan to do a Purple Liquid / White Lava Grande in the near future, and I hope to get the same results.

I'm getting ready to do a HUGE dye job on a lamp....how is the food coloring holding up on this lamp that you posted about in Feb? Did you find 6 drops was enough/too much food coloring? Did adding color reduce/increase any fogginess?

6 drops of standard blue food coloring. I put the first couple drops in when the lamp was hot, and the color got stuck in the lava for a bit, and then mixed with the liquid. The last 4 drops I put in when the lamp was cold, and they mixed in really nice as the lamp warmed up. I still maintain we shoudn't have to fix our toys before we play with them, but it's damn satisfying when the end result is this!!
