Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

This is the 2nd run. So far, so good! This is as close to the real colors as I could get. It's an incredibly hard lamp to photograph accurately.

I've ran it three times and it's been great. I've got it started up today... and so far, so good. The initial spike often flips the yarn and the coil to a spot where it takes it longer to get going. Not much you can do about that.

I had a dream last night that I had another Grande from lava lite and it was under pressure and exploded all over my bedroom. What do you think that means?! LOL

I also would like to add that my Heritage Grande only came with one spring coil; I know that the first run of these lamps came with two spring coils, even though Lava® denied this and said that they always only came with one.

I just now put the neon green globe on its base to heat up! I usually run my favorite purple/yellow globe on the base, since it is such a nice base. It should be flowing by tomorrow! I took photos of the wax stuck to the sides, since it is a ton of places that it is stuck and it's easier to see when the lamp is cold. I also got a couple pics of dried up liquid on the outside of the globe, from the lamp leaking. I also want to add that I own all 3 centuries and 2 of the wizards (red/clear red base, and blue/yellow silver base)from the Heratige collection, and I have had no trouble with any of them. My red/yellow Century from the collection flows very nicely, honestly almost like a USA red/yellow Century. I will be posting the pics and hopefully a video tomorrow of the current state of my Heratige Grande.

Beauty of a picture, Erin! My favorite combo, looks great on that huge gold tone base!

Ian, please do post a video or pic of it currently, I'd like to see it. I think everyone deserves to know what they're getting into.

I had two Heritage Grandes - the pink and the green. The pink has crap in the wax, the seal at the top is sucking itself in and it takes forever to heat up. I gave away the green one. I believe the pink one has wax stuck around the base, too.

I know it's a risk to buy these lamps. My main purpose is to document them for others, as odd as that sounds.

Flow just as good as the Heratige Grande, you say? I'll pass then - at least for a little while. My Heritage Grande went to shit after a year and a half or so. The wax is an ugly puke shade of green, is stuck to the sides of the globe, and the globe is leaking out of the top. I never ran it longer than I should, I kept it out of the sun, and I never let it over heat. I'm pretty bummed about it, ultimately, and it makes me very wary to purchase another Grande..
If you want to see how my Heritage Grande used to flow, I posted a video on here a few years back around the time I got it. I'll have to post a vid of its current state.

I really like the flow. It's as good as the Heritage Grande's.  Thanks for posting. Now if I could only figure out which combo I like most and buy two of the same.  I'm also digging the gold base.

I got mine on Amazon for about $20some. It's Neweer brand. Some Chinese offshoot. Works just fine. Let me know if you have any more questions - lava lamps are really hard to shoot accurately!
