Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Original fluids, swapped to Heritage base. Glitter flows properly and color is quite the peach but the silvering on the flakes has seen better days.

Yea Vox, 2003 isn't really all that bad, especially for glitter!!  I mean I know it depends on the mileage put on a lamp, but I do think the darker fluids and the amount of glitter moving in the space it has to move in does a lot as the deciding factor of how much shimmer it can and will put off.  It's like trying to achieve a decent flow in a 20 oz globe compared to a 52 or a grande!!!  It's a spacial thing if that's even a word, lol!!  If the Magic Eraser doesn't work, there's always a can of spray paint!!!!!  What about a white base with the fushia water and glitter, or silver?  I don't know, I do like the black and pink!!!  You can just spray paint it black and you won't have to put a ton of coats on since it's already black.......

You know, you are right, I am used to the dazzle of Kirk's large glitter in clear and the smaller volume USA purple multicolor. The more I look at it the more on-point it becomes! I think the area is so vast in there the it just sends out the subtle shimmer, plus the liquid is somewhat dark. I am with you guys and gals, the globe is a beaut!

Yes Kirk, it is an original LL pink grande globe, made in 2003. The base it came with may be a paint project as it has some marks that may not wipe away, the Magic Eraser will be the decider of that venture. Here is the cap code:

Just realized the rotation of the photo makes it seems as though it is in zero-G or hanging upside-down from the ceiling

It was hard to dial in the top hue on the globe as it seems red here, it is in fact a very electric fuchsia/pink

Is this an original glitter grande globe?  I have a blue one, but it doesn't look this good!

Vox, I don't think that lamp looks bad at all!!!  The color is certainly still there at least....beautiful shade of pink!!!  The glitter might not be as shiny as you are used to but it could have been worse.  You're spoiled from your extravagant multi glitter Wiz is all, lol!!!

Thanks Keith, I am happy with it. The more I watch it the more it starts to shine through. I think I might need a new rubber plug if I were to operate on it, the little bit that peeks out from the cap is definitely dry rotted.
