So you use an adapter not a converter? I am using an adapter and it works, but not at the right voltage.

Hi Erin, I use and adapter for the lamp, I got it at my local hardware store. He had adapters for different countries, I bought the ones for France lamps. I have the original bulbs in them from France, so I am not sure of the wattage used. This particular lamp Bubbles like the old bubble lights from the 1950's-60's you would put on the X was trees. These are awesome!! I have % of them.

They really are. I have to see if I can find a converter today so I can see how this thing is really supposed to bubble.

Frank, did you re-wire this for the US or just use an adapter or converter? I just got my first bubbler lamp today and it runs with an adapter, but it doesn't get hot enough. Also, think of me if you ever sell this one!

Hey Jonas, I think you might be correct about the maker of this Bubbler, and yes these are different than the Boilers, they Bubble just like the old Bubble lights used for the Xmas trees in the 50's. I will see if there is a label on it when I get it.

Probably (not assured) made by one "S. Vera" of Cleremont-Ferrand, France. The other one I've seen of this exact form and type (I refer to these as lava-bubblers) had his label on the upper foil.
