I really, really do not like those horrible pin hole defects in the glass at all.  They are very distracting at night especially, as you said.   My orange/black was a great globe, with a few pinholes, but not that noticeable.  I have others that are horrible though.  Even a few old US made globes that have many flaws, but the majority are very nice.

The green/black is crystal clear, but very dark. When I turn off the lights the wax looks red and all I can see are glass flaws. It looks best with some backlighting. The flow on the fist run was slow perfectly round blobs, but now there is occasionally a stretchy blob. If I didn't have/know about the beautifully flowing US lava lite globes, I'd probably be completely happy with it. I knew what to expect when I bought it though. I know how a lamp can flow as I got my starship new in 1998 when I was just a little kid. I knew this lamp wouldn't flow like that, but I didn't expect it either. I was shocked how bubbly the glass is, most disposable glass beverage bottles are much better. Another strange thing is how thin the glass is on the bottom part that sits right above the bulb.

They are lovely lamps!   I wanted the green/black too, but was afraid the green liquid looked too dark.  I got the orange/black and it's great.   I think I lucked out on that one though.   I got a few more that were FOG.  UGH

Thank you. I am very happy with them all except the china green/black. The flow is very boring, and the glass is quite bubbly. I am keeping it though because I like the color, I like the tube it came in, and it was on sale. I leave the tube in my car, just in case I find a lamp when I am out at a thrift/ antique store.

Great lamps!  Classic colors and good flow!  :)
