Sorry to take so long to respond. I just had a baby December 5th, so as you will soon see, it's sometimes tricky to get on the computer once a baby arrives! Congratulations for you and your wife! I really don't know of any good places to get lava lamps in OKC. I have gotten a few 52 oz.Lava World lamps at Spencers in Penn Square Mall. They are only $20 and great for projects. There are sometimes lava lamps at Big Lots. I've had great luck with those. I really just stick to ebay. If I get a good vintage base I usually have to tweak or even replace the globe so Spencers comes in handy. Good luck with the upcoming birth, it's the most amazing experience!

Hello KillerKeith - You said it! In Grand Prairie during the summer months you don't need to plug in your lava lamps to get them moving. Pretty much everything starts to ooze around June and doesn't stop until September. I found my two hound dogs lava-lating in the humid air one time. I had to hose them off and throw them in the pool just to get them to look regular again. You being in Oklahoma know exactly what I'm talking about. Thanks for the Happy Birthday greeting. I'll repay you with a HUGE congratulations on your up and coming baby boy. You sir have indeed been blessed by God's unfathomable love. Never forget your son is a miracle and God is only using your heart and hands to raise that miracle. My wife and I were also blessed with a miracle baby eighteen years ago so I think I have a hint of what you're feeling now. You think it's awesome now, wait until the little dude shows up! :)

Happy New Year & God Bless
Jimmy

P.S. Start jogging before he learns to toddle! Trust me on that one. :)

Hi! It was a rusting paint kit. Pretty common. It was really easy-It was an orange spray paint first then a marroon watery paint you brush on after spray paint is dry. Then you just take a paper towel and sponge off the excess until you get the look you want. Thanks for the comment!

Hello there KillerKeith... Thanks for your birthday wish to me! I noticed your lamps, you have a couple of `Pliable Art' lamps which were made for Walmart originally. I have two brand new ones that I never opened, and two that are out, one cracked and leaked during use which really surprised me, so it is retired, the other is still in service on my kitchen island.

In the main collection in the living room, there are TWO Mathmos Astros. One I bought personally in down town London - winter of 2006. The other I bought online and had shipped here a year ago. Both run on special power supplies at 240 volts. I need to get a photo of this very nice rack of lamps for everyone to take a look at.

Take care and wishing you all the best with your new little one!

Truly,
Gary

Wow! Sweet shots of the conjunction - makes me wish I had of gone on a bit of a shooting expedition that night rather than just taking it from the front yard! Oh well... maybe in 5 years time when the next one is due...
Thanks for checking out the site too - hope you get to hear it some time...

Thank you, killerkeith.
That is very nice of you.
My dad was a big part of my life. I am thankful though for the time I had with him.
But the Lord just called him home.

Thank you for your prayers.

Also, please keep my sister Zona in prayer. She has cancer in her pancreas or however you spell that. It is very serious. We are all believing she will make a full recovery and God has told her she will be healed but it is still going to be tough because she still has quite a bit to go through.

Thank you,
W_J

Definitely the best poem!
I think yours was so good that you scared the rest of them off.
We did that contest a couple of years ago and had about 15 entries, but of couse back then I gave away an old Midnight I didn't want anymore - its crazy how excited people get about prizes - even basic ones! LOL
Congrats - so no generic lava lamp for you, but you are allowed to BRAG for an entire year... :-)
Actually, we may do another contest of some sort for Christmas too.
