I bought this for 5 dollars at an estate sale. What is it?

Help in value and identifhing as made in USA lava lamp

I picked this up at a flea market. I paid 16 bucks for it. Its dated 1997 and I believe this is vintage made in USA. Any help on value and if it was indeed made in the states greatly appreciated.…Continue

Strange floating wax plug at top

My lamp the Chinese one always has a plug floating at the top after I shut it off. No probs. I wait till its cool and give it shake to break water tension and it goes to the bottom. But I come back…Continue

"Here is a picture of the lamp after running it. BTW it worked fine. The liquid seems clean and the red and clear liquid look like an atom bomb when its starting up. LOL The Liquid is not down that much. maybe a quarter cup or less."

"Also from you photos your lamp still has the heat reflector around the bulb...those are impossible to replace unless you luck into finding a base with one in it.  When you take thr bulb out you will see what I mean.  It is the metal…"

"Some others here would be able to tell you more on the water part but I would not add any to it if it were me.  Only way really to date one of those would be a sticker that would have been up under the cap and from you photos you already had…"
