Lava Lamp Royale - fluid changed to clear

Lava Lamp Royale with master fluid removed and redone with clear distilled water and surf. The lamp was not fully warm when video was taken AND the wax is so neon yellow that even with the lights on, the lamp over powered the video device, making the room like the lights were off, which is quite amazing if you ask me. I might redo this lamp via goo kit down the line to a different color. Watch in HD for best experience. If I recall I think I put between 15 to 18 mls of surf, maybe a tad more.

Video was shot 3-1/2 hours after lamp was turned on. The flow gets even better as the lamp stays on longer. The color of the lava is deep red, not the color in the video. Watch in HD for best results.

So, turn up your speakers / volume and have a listen. This is why I can't run the lamp for more than 15 or 20 minutes at a time, this pump issue gets maddening.

So, two options:

#1 Call lava lamp and see if they have a replacement pump which we know they won't

#2 Get a normal fish tank air pump, and extend the air tube through a nicely drilled hole in the back bottom of the base to the external fish tank air pump and enjoy.

By the way, I had to remove the round felt pad, which is easily replaced with some clear rubber bump on feet.

The rest is easy the lamp can be serviced from the bottom. At least the pump and LED circuit board.

If anyone wants more detailed photos of the innards let me know and I will post them.

Purchased on LetGo. All 14 critters are present and 5 orbs. Bottle is glass, not plastic. The pump is a little noisy but not much different from a normal fish tank air pump. I so wish they included more jelly fish as they are the best by far. The amount of critters that are moving around vary from minute to minute. Sometimes a critter has to fall to knock others towards the bubbles. They should still make this if you ask me it would sell well.
