Picked Up A Red Clearview

Ok, only stopped in Spencer"s to look!!! Well, as I told Erin, since I fluid changed my purple neon, it looked so good i no longer had to hide it in my bedroom and brought it out of hiding to show off with the rest of the family lol so needed a bedroom lamp. I wanted a cheetah lamp which soencers had a few months back but they sold it. I thought the Clearview red might make for a mellow lamp for a bedroom. I really wanted a 52 oz premier but the choices werent great. $5.00 off all lava lamps. They had all of the neons which i havent had luck with, the black lava/green which is dark and the black/orange which i luv but i have to have the right setup for. I need backlighting for it. So when i get home and fire it up ill post.

I saw that Jim, but the NIB worries me a little!!!  I guess I could give it a try.  Paypal usually will pick up the insurance if the seller won't take an item back.  Thank You, I think I may order the Cheetah one because this Red Clearview is really temperature touchy.  I bought it for my bedroom, but it really needs a warm room.  5 hours to even stalagmite on the 1st run......geez!!!

I am the opposite as NIB is worth a significant premium to me.  Those US made Safaris are an absolute steal.  Way better base (painted versus shrink wrapped) and an infinitely better globe.  When I was selling Icons I was asking $75 for mint used and $150 for NIB.  That's how much I value NIB lamps.  Just sayin...

OMG Jim, I just compared the newer "Leopard" which is now what they are calling it to the vintage cheetah!!!  They are night and day.  The print on the china version is so gawdy looking.  I went to that ebay store and they do have the 2.  Unfortunately it's the snake and the tortoise but not the cheetah.  I know someone else on here (not sure who) needs the vintage cheetah to complete his set.  Maybe he took it.  I hope so for his sake.  I'd rather see someone that has the set take it rather then someone like me that just wants it to match her cheetah print sheets, lol!!!  I'll just keep my eyes peeled on ebay.  I'm sure one will show up eventually.  I absolutely do not like the china leopard one.

I have bought from the ebay seller that Jim mentioned. I bough the Tortoise. It was crap, I hate to say. No flow at all, it just domed. I put it on a dimmer, and that didnt help. I sent it back, and got full refund for it. Just wanted to pass that along. It might have been just a dud.
