Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

In the last month I've picked up two white lava / clear liquid globes and both of them have a color code of 03 on the cap.  Though 03 is supposed to be white / blue.  Anyone know the story behind this?

That's a faded blue/white.  Let me drag up a link to the cap code sheet.  Clear/whites are beyond rare and I believe only provided to LL employees.

Yeah, I know white/clear should be 01.  I have two 03 white/blue globes, so it seems amazing that the blue could completely disappear.  The "white/clear"s that I have look like crystal clear liquid (I've run one of them, but not the other).

Here is the cap code chart:  http://oozinggoo.ning.com/page/lava-lite-color-codes.

Blue seems to fade rapidly, but not all do.  Been having a devil of a time fading a pink/pink.

Someone most likely had their lamp on a window sill. I have a wave machine like that - the purple wave machine that is actually now pink.

I will say that the white / clear combo is great.  Faded or not, I love it!

Agreed - an absolute must for a Snowman Icon in my opinion.  I also plan to fade one for my Spooktacular Icon.  I think most of us collectors tend to have extra blue/white globes.

The code is 01 but its not stamped on the cap. The cap is a blank "LavaLite" cap with no markings, I will post a pic of mine soon.
