I only have the yellow (lucky find on Gumtree) but green would be my preferred choice of all the Fluidium colours.

I thought you had the Green Fluie, Pete?   You won't be disappointed if you find one, they are lovely!

I've never found not one lava lamp of any kind in our GW or SA thrift stores.  But I still look, you never know when a treasure will appear!

I live in a very small town in the mountains of East TN, Frank.  We have rummage sales and a yard sale in the city parking lot on weekends during the Summer, but our lamps are not to be found here.  I have my sisters on the lookout since they live in a much larger place than I do, and they send pics of what they find.  If I see a winner, I tell them to BUY IT.  That would freak me out too if I saw a lamp I wanted in our Goodwill or Salvation Army store, or anywhere here!   I've never been to NY in my life.  LOL  Or much of anywhere else but here.

The Pink Gemlite I got on line the other day, my Glitter graphic with the Unicorn and rainbow I found at a thrift store for $5. When I saw it in the shelf I FREAKED!! I go to garage sales, rummage, flea markets etc. always looking. But these vintage lamps are hard to find. I too am out in the BURBS, lived in Manhattan for 20 years, but now really love the space and nature, and being able to see the Blue sky.

Your Pink Gemlite freaked me out!   What a FIND!!!!   My problem is that unless I travel a good distance to a big city, there is nothing around here to be found.

I remember you got the Continental reply cheap! LOVE IT!! and $29 for the Glitter graphics awesome! not one you see that often. See finding things cheap is what keeps me going too, like the other day with the Pink Gemlite I got.

That's right, and remember I completely lucked out in major newb days and got that Gemlite Continental for 69 bucks and the Parrot glitter graphics for 29.  So you never know!!   The Opal is gorgeous, someone posted a pic within the last few days of a chrome based one.   I'd never seen that.  Trev has pics of the Opal and so does Jack.
