Mathmos iO overheating

Anyone had any problems with the iO overheating? In mine the wax goes into one big lump and detaches from the coil after about 6 hours... the room temperature is only about 21 degrees.Continue

- Hi there and welcome to Oozing Goo. I've had trouble with these Mathmos bulbs. One blew after just a handful of runs (copper heritage Astro) the other one fared far worse still, just 20 minutes or less (new Astro metallic). None too impressed although Mathmos did kindly send some replacement bulbs.
