Something Interesting About Me:: I am married and a stay at home mom to a 4 1/2 year old daughter. I have a great love for lava lamps. Maybe one day I will have one of each color and type.

My First Lava Lamp was:: My first experience with a lava lamp wasn't so good. It was a vintage century, clear liquid with greenish goo. It decided one evening to explode on my table sending the contents everywhere. Glad I wasn't nearby but I did hear it explode. I assume it got too hot? It was purchased off Ebay in 2001 and was from the 70's. I still like love them anyway and will keep getting as many as I can.

I topped off my Giant with filtered clear liquid from a 32oz Midnight Series lamp that I was experimenting with. I added around 1 inch of liquid to about even with the bottom of the top silver cap when cold.
I've never had much luck using other liquid formulas to replace original lava lamp fluid.
