I'm not sure of any others besides craigs list. If I knew of them I would certainly be there. I personally think older lamps are relatively hard to come by in excellent condition. Wear and tear and liquid evaporation through the screw tops can take a toll over the years. You have to be careful to keep them out of direct sunlight as well. The liquid color fades quickly under those conditions. I've got a list of questions that I use when I buy a lamp off eBay. You have to be careful to evaluate them carefully, asking for additional pictures after they have been running for several hours to get a good idea of how they flow. My pet peeve is when the liquid does not expand to fill the air gap at the top of the globe. Cloudy liquid is also a real show stopper for me as well. I would definitely stay away from the new lava brand lamps. They simply don't work well in my opinion. If you own an older lamp you'll see what I mean if you compare them. If you would like to see the questions I use, email me at ourmoneymachine@hotmail.com and I"ll send them to you. I find it very helpful to ask the questions to avoid being disappointed in a purchase. Also, the others that have greeted you below are valuable folks to know. I know Bohdan owns an army of lamps and has been able to help me with ideas when I was stuck. Hope to hear from you soon!
Thanks for the invitation to become your friend. I hope we have some interesting stories to share in the near future. How many lamps do you have? I have 10 right now but am always looking for the next one. It's hard to choose which ones to get due to limited space but there is always one that just gets you! See ya soon.
