They were promptly returned today for a refund. The bases were trashed in transit, and one globe leaked 1/3 of it's liquid. Let's call it a "packing malfunction." It's a damn shame.

But on a brighter note - it was 71 degrees today. This allowed me to spray paint an old globe-less, hideously faded Century base and newer spare cap bright copper. Along with the two other bases I've recently procured, I will now be able to offer comfy seats for my spare US globes!
