I received this lamp as a Christmas present back in the late 70's. Not sure of the brand, but it still works great after 30 plus years!

Be very careful 'topping off' lamps. Occasionally, it'll fix them. Typically, they'll just quit.
This is an excellent first lamp. I once filled an empty tray of one of these with a short string of Christmas lights (making sure they stayed far enough away from the center cone that they wouldn't melt) and filled the tray with clear glass pebbles.

Still have my first Astro Lamp birthday gift from the late 60s but the had to replace the contents 5yrs ago and is how I found OG.
