Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hello all,

I recently purchased one of the 11.5" Clearview lamps from Target, and much to my dismay, the little booger is cloudy and doesn't seem to get hot enough. I feel like I may have a chance of clearing it up, if only I can get the temperature up a little higher on it. As it is, it takes FOREVER for it to get going. Would it hurt to replace the stock 15W bulb with a 25W bulb of the same variety?

Hello, It wouldn't hurt much but it would overheat quickly. I would go back and return it and exchange for a clear one in store possibly.

Thanks for the replies.....I think I will return it.

Yeah I've had no luck with that size... The larger ones are better flowing and looking
