Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hi there :)

I've owned a couple of 32oz lava lamps since the late 90's and have just started taking an interest in all things "goo" again.

I was planning to purchase a new 52oz lamp (purple/pink) but have just noticed after reading through the forum that they are now made in China. Is the main difference with these new lamps in the way they flow?.

Is it luck of the draw with these new ones. Like do some flow great and some don't?

Would i be better off looking for a second hand one from the 90's perhaps?

Anyway. Here are a couple of Youtube time lapse vids of my lamps :)

Cheers from Australia :)

Great videos! Ya, if you are custom to the flow of those lamps, I would stick with American made. I only have one china lamp that flows nice and that is out of five china lamps I have. I have just a handfull of American lamps and they all flow great. Is up to you. If you want to try the china ones and don't like it, send them back. They aren't all bad and most of mine flow great, but only for about three hours and then just start collecting a big blob at the top. But still, they don't compare to the Americans smooth flow. If you like smooth flow, get American. If you like seeing just balls of goo moving around, get a china.
Well my new lamps flow great but I have herd of some having some problems.
