Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hi all,,, I bought a galaxy some time ago and yesterday I noticed that the light kinds of flicker when it's turned on, so I took a look inside. The halogen bulb is like black, near the bottom, like it could be corroded, so I assume that it is what's causing the flickering.

Google didn't give much help for the bulb specifications except an old post on the first oozingoo saying that the bulb is an halogen 20W 6 volts ... ??? that seems a little strange as this kind of bulb exists in 12 volts. Who's wrong? Shelves products or this old post?

Well, I found only one site in france selling this kind of bulbs, so instead searching for shops I ordered 4 bulbs from them. I guess I'm out of any trouble regarding the galaxy bulb now!

Anyway, thank you for your help!
