Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Seeing pictures of fluidiums I was wondering about the fluidium wax as it doesn't seem to act others mathmos product: like not producing that elongating blob. Is this the case? Are they just producing bubbles?
I was planning to buy a yellow one from mathmos but whishes to know first. Any insights from fluidium owners?

we have a green one and i'm not impressed with it. it flows differently, i have heard the green ones are more prone to getting bubbles in the wax. and it doesnt produce the classic blob as you say. and the base is so bright that it makes the bottle look dark, sort of the opposite to every other lamp.
so i wouldnt have another, well saying that i would have an opal one, but only if i found one dirt cheap!
