Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Some time ago i bought this blue/white from spencers and of course its a china lamp.. anyways.. for a while it was actually blue/white and then in not too long it darkened for some reason.. the liquid was dark and the wax was like a tan/mustard color instead of white.. it was SO dark that it was on and flowing and i could barely notice it on standing 6 feet away from it and my other lamps...

so i decided to fade it but it wouldnt do.. it was inthe sun for like 2 weeks and it didnt change AT ALL so i decided to change the fluid and i ended up with this clear/mustard-tan lamp! its pretty nice =)

I have 2 bottles exactly the same as your original. One is dark blue fluid/mustardy caramely lava the other purple/caramel. I have left them in the sun for weeks with no change in fluid color.
Very nice caramel color lava. Your lamp is way. Thanks for sharing. I'm going to continue to leave my globes in the sun maybe this time next year I'll have a clear/caramel too! Ha!

i just changed the fluid because it would not fade
Sure. I don't have any spare clear fluid so I'm still in hope mode for fading long term.
Ha!

that's what I need to do to my china blue/"white" (more like light yellow). It's hard to see next to the more brightly colored lamps in my collection.
