Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Well, after ranting the other night about the black lava / clear fluid from Amazon I decided to see if there was anything on the shelf at the local Target. They had several lamps and only one black lava type. I opened it up and low and behold it was cloudy. It must mix with the black lava to some degree. I drove across the street to KMart and they had dozens of lamps to choose from. They had about 10 - 8oz'ers with Black/Clear configurations. All of them with crystal clear liquid. I brought one home (only $7.99 whereas Target's was $9.99) and it is working perfectly with the provided 15 watt bulb. Time will tell if it is a flash in the pan or if it will continue working.

Good deal! The 8 ozers cloud easy, especially when compared to the larger lamps. Usually, all it takes is time sitting still to clear them up if they cloud. Be forewarned, the Black dye will sometimes be absorbed by the liquid. Good luck though!
How long does it take for those little ones before they overheat?
I have run this twice for 6 hours straight and still cycles nicely. It could be because the room that it is in is about 62°F. I am curious to see how all of these lamps act in the summer.
I would also point out if you live near a Fry's electronics, they seem to have clear 8oz as well. They run $8.99.
My Momma was heading to the local Kmart & I had her snatch whatever they had... low & behold, a crystal clear Black/Clear! WOOT! Pics to come... So thanks for the heads up, Scott!
Great! I will be over where I bought mine this coming weekend. Do you still want me to pick up another?
Nope, don't need another, but thanks for the offer. It did make me want to pull out my other 8 ozers & arange them around a 52... pics to come later :D
