Affordable portable water filters (0.1 micron)

I know some members here own an MSR filter (good on you!) but for folks like myself who can't afford one, the pureEasy portable filter has been god sent!

 

The only complaint I have (and it's not even a major one IMO), is that forcing fluid through the filter requires a bit of muscle power

 

I figured that filtering lava lamps shouldn't be an expensive thing to do, and with a filter at this price, I don't think you can go wrong!

That looks nice - its seams like a cheap china vershion of the MSR filters.

Have you tryed it out on any cloudy globes yet and if so what are the results.

Hey all. Uni has just started and its been quite hectic. I don't have any before pics currently, however I do have a lamp arriving soon which will require a filter. I will take some before and after shots then and post it up for all to see (Thanks for the patience y'all!). Similar to the MSR, the outlets could do with a treatment of epoxy (or the like) to prevent fluid leakage.

 

It cost me $35 AUD (Free postage) from Hong Kong.

Cool, this seems like a more affordable alternative to MSR. The question is, will it work as well?

 

I do need a filter pump for my lamps too!
