The lamps look OK, one has Mathmos written in Red, the other is embossed, one has a black wire and the other a white wire. The seller said one was 15 years old and the other 5 years.
Both have red wax and purple water.
However both have an unusually high amount of little silver specs in the glass, I take it these are bubbles in the glass?
My last lamp didn't have these specs in the glass, is this common?
The bottles looks as though they have been constructed of two halves.
Any ideas guys? The defects in the glass really are noticeable.
I can get some photos if needs be.

I'm not an expert in UK lamps, but I have a lot of those bubbles / inclusions in a good amount of my lamps. If you can get some pictures up it'll be a lot easier for other members to help you.
Some of the air bubbles in the glass are acceptable, but your babies have too many bubbles, and they detract from the overall display of the lamp.
I've seen worse, and not in just recently produced globes, either. Some of the worst globes that I've seen are in Century lamps from the 1970s, so this isn't a recent phenomenon.
If you look at them from a distance, it's less noticeable.
